Welcome to our Wagon Thanksgiving. We are in preparation of cooking a chuck wagon meal for Candie, Cannon, and Lance when they arrive. We will have a meat dish mixed with beans and tomatoes covered with a cornbread topping and a three bean salad and a peach cobbler...all prepared over an open fire.

It turned out pretty good.
Carol and I welcomed them about 2:30 PM and we began to visit, cook and visit some more. Then Carol, Cannon and Candie put up a tent to spend the night under the stars.

Carol and I were so happy to have Little Man with us for this Thanksgiving. The missing family of Tracy, Robert and Riley would have made this the best Thanksgiving ever, but we had one really good time with those that came. So many blessings. So much to be thankful for. Can you imagine the Thanksgiving times that the people who lived in these wagons must have shared with those they saw along the trail?

WOW!!! What a great looking family. We are so proud of them and the work they do with the youth in the schools where they work. We are also proud of the parenting they do with Cannon.

Cannon makes our life young. We try real hard to keep up with him when he comes. Carol had a baseball field lined off when he got here. We played a little baseball then we ate a little. His favorite time was spent playing hide and go seek with the four wheelers. We also threw a few rocks in river.

Little Man sure loves his Mom and Dad.
I wish Riley could have been here to enjoy the outing as well. It is not an easy trip from Kansas City. I know they had a restful time at their place. Robert has been working around the world and Tracy has been doing well with Edward Jones. Hope they can come next time.

This is a Memory. Thanks Cannon.

Well, we are closing in on ending this blog. We are also closing in on this great time together. Thank God for good cameras. We can visit and revisit Thanksgiving at the Wagon as often as we would like.

From all of us to all of you, we wish you and yours A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS. Do not let an opportunity go by without telling someone Merry Christmas. REMEMBER IT IS ABOUT CHRIST. Yes, it is a holiday, but it is about CHRIST'S BIRTH. Have a great week this week and every week.
