July 4th 2010 Sunday will be as memorable as the Memorial Day Sunday. God works quickly and joyfully. We had baptisms again this month. It was a Joy filled day. We had a great crowd at Concho Park Lake Ivie. Millersview Church met at Lake Ivie Sunday July 4th and six people responded to a call to follow Jesus in baptism.

Shannon came to be baptized and ask Jesus into her heart. A beautiful young lady who follows Christ now. Please pray for Shannon as she walks with the Lord.

Tammy came from Ft Stockton to be baptized with her sister Tonia. She was really excited to be baptized to follow Christ and to be with her sister to make it a family event.

Tonya is a very special friend to come and be baptized with her family and her sister Tammy. Tonya is a servant of the Lord and we have served together on Walks To Emmaus, Chrysalis and Mission trips to South Africa. It was a privilege to baptize such a servant of the Lord.

Jadyn is a daughter of Tonya. She too is a servant of the Lord. We will work together on a Chrysalis in August. She will be part of the music team. Thanks Jaydn for the privilege to baptize you.

Lexi is also a daughter of Tonya. She will begin her service to the Lord this August.

Then comes Chad. I taught this young man some 30 years ago in a science class. To think that God would bring us together in this setting. God is so good all the time and has a plan for our lives that we wait in awe to see what he will do next. Chad is the dad of Jadyn and Lexi and the husband of Tonya. What a great family.

Well it was one fine day. These brothers and sisters in Christ blessed me and charged my battery to continue looking forward to what he has in store next.
