God puts people in our lives to set an
examples that we can draw strength from. Even though they live in a caring home away from home their little light shines serving as an influence to us who are not quite there yet. They set a standard for us to follow. A standard to serve other people no matter what circumstance we find our selves in.

We must use the talents and gifts that God has given us to serve others for as long as we have good health. The memories of the foot tapping- moving their wheel chairs to keep time with the music to emulate dancing they may have done in the past with a loved one that has passed on. These are memories that help make situations we are in become better situations.

God also provides for us a personal quite time to recall memories of our past. We have a choice to recall GOOD TIMES or bad times. I choose to remember the GOOD TIMES. My dad's fiddle that taught me to play music that I use now to
glorify God.

This is my very
first rod and reel that my dad taught me to fish with and the baits that were used to lure fish to strike the baits and then fight against the power of the rod and the reel that would win the battle sometimes. I now fish for men. I use the Truth of God's word to lure men to come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. It is strange that men will battle against accepting His Word when hooked on the Word but when hooked the rod of the Lord wins us over and we give up and surrender to Him then we are reeled in to serve Him.

My first nine pound bass and my first ten pound bass are memories of a life of fishing for fish. My wife's ten point whitetail buck and pictures of black
retriever puppies like we use to raise. These are all memories that we have to remind us of good times.
John the Arthur of the fourth book of in the New Testament and 1-2-3rd John and Revelation also must have enjoyed memories of his relationship with the living Jesus Christ. He had been with God. God had been with him. How could he forget. The wine that moments before had been water- John could still taste it. The mud placed on the eyes of the blind man in Jerusalem- John could still remember it. The aroma of Mary's perfume as it filled the room- John could still smell it. The voice. Oh the voice. His voice. John could still hear it. I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD IT RANG - I AM THE DOOR - I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE-I WILL COME BACK AND WILL TAKE YOU TO BE WITH ME-THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN ME WILL HAVE LIFE EVEN IF THEY DIE. Thanks Max Lucado for that description. We that preach THE WORD have the eyewitness of John to rely on. We know that all scripture is inspired by God so we know that what John tells is the truth. Thank you John for the memories.
I pray that you who reads this will choose the Good memories that God has provided for you and that you will create new memories from a personal relationship with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
