After we left South Padre we cut across on Hwy 83 to Lake Falcon. We
stopped at the state park just above the damn of Falcon Lake. We found
these little cabins that would be just right to camp in. They have AC and bunk beds and a
BBQ pit to cook. What else would you want?

A local bath house and restroom is what you see here. All you need is a boat ramp close by and lots of fish to catch.

Falcon Lake is a big lake with lots of fish. It borders with Mexico. You can get a
licence to fish the Mexico side of the border. The average catch of the day is 30 to 40 fish and their average weight is 4 to 6 lbs each. You might get one that will go above the 14lb class.

The State Park is very close to the damn. It is a real pretty lake. It runs North toward
Laredo for about 50 miles. Some day I hope to fish this lake.

There is a boat ramp near by, so all we need now is TIME to go. Tune in tomorrow as we travel to the
Panhandle of Texas to get a look at snow on the Cannon Ranch and get a
Chuck wagon to continue our ministry for the Lord.
Have a GREAT and BLESSED Day.
