TWO FACED

I read a story of a dance hall owner who was about to open his business in a small town. A small church in the small town begin to pray that the dance hall and the beer tavern would fail. On the day before the tavern was to open, lightning struck the building and it burned to the ground. The small church was surprised but happy that it happened that is until the owner of the tavern sued the church for damages to the property. During the hearing the small church denied all charges. At the end of the hearing the judge was very confused and did not know how he would rule. "It seems to me" said the judge "that the owner of the tavern believes in the power of prayer more than the small church".----------- Two Faced

In another story there were twelve soldiers in a battle. They were greatly out numbered. The Sargent screamed for a volunteer to go for re enforcements. He said boys it might be suicide. One young man raised his hand and said just hold on for five more minutes and I'm going to get the help we need. At 6:00 A.M. I know where my mama will be. Down on her knees out on the old back porch begging God to keep me safe. There's no doubt I can make it if I run while Mama prays.-----------Two Faced. In his face the others saw the face of Jesus.

ARE YOU TWO FACED? IF SO, HOW SO?

HAVE A GREAT DAY.

  1. Hmmmm, "two-faced" has such a negative ring to the ever-so-human character flaws we all have. Maybe it's because I'm a girl and "two-faced" seems to bring up drama scenes from high school - but I prefer to think of your above writings as times when a person loses sight of what's truth and what's most important. I think that at times through out our lives we can all do that. Just my "two cents". :0 love you!!!
